About Salvation

By Grace, Through Faith

Salvation is the gift of God, received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned through good works, religious effort, or baptism. Christ died for our sins and rose again, and everyone who trusts Him receives forgiveness and everlasting life.

Christ Alone
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

A Gift of Grace
Salvation is given, not earned.

Received by Faith
We believe in the risen Lord Jesus Christ.

Eternally Secure
The believer is held safely in Christ.

About the Bible

The Word of God

We believe the Bible is the revealed, verbally inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, complete in the 66 books from Genesis through Revelation. Calvary believes the King James Version is the preserved Word of God and uses it throughout the ministry.

Inspired
God gave the Scriptures.

Infallible
God's Word is completely trustworthy.

Inerrant
Scripture is true in all it teaches.

Preserved
God has kept His Word for every generation.

About Jesus Christ

God the Son, Our Risen Savior

We believe Jesus Christ is eternally God. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect and sinless life, and offered Himself as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins. He shed His blood on the cross, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to Heaven, and will return.

Virgin Born
God's promised Messiah came in the flesh.

Sinless
Jesus lived in perfect obedience.

Crucified & Risen
His sacrifice paid for sin and defeated death.

Coming Again
Christ will receive His church and reign as King.

About Baptism

A Public Declaration of Faith

Baptism is an act of obedience for someone who has already trusted Christ. It is not part of earning salvation. Baptism by immersion pictures the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and publicly declares the believer's new life in Him.

After Salvation
Faith in Christ comes first.

By Immersion
Baptism follows the biblical pattern.

An Act of Obedience
Believers follow Christ's example.

A Visible Testimony
It declares a personal change through Christ.

About the Gospel

Sent to Share the Good News

Jesus commanded His church to make disciples of all nations. We believe every Christian should be a faithful witness and that the local church should support global, church-planting missions.

Through personal testimony, compassionate service, prayer, giving, and going, we seek to shine the light of Christ in Fruitland Park and around the world.
